American Idol's Stephanie White headlines
First Fridays in Washington June 6

She'll be appearing at Mediterranean Bistro

Stephanie White, a Top 21 female performer in Season Five of American Idol, is coming to Washington Borough.

White, along with Robbie LaFalce, will be appearing at the Mediterranean Bistro, located at 301 W. Washington Avenue, from 8-10 p.m. as part of the Washington Business Improvement District's First Fridays.

White and LaFalce often perform as a duet, as well as with the funk/rock/folk band New Jersey Philth Harmonic. Beginning June 7, the Bistro will have music every Saturday night starting with Eternal Circle.

First Fridays is hosted by the Washington Business Improvement District the first Friday of every month.

Elsewhere around the Borough that night, Hackettstown rockers Reverse Order, which recently appeared at the Meadowlands, is set to go in front of Home Palace, a furniture and home decorating store at the corner of Broad and E. Washington Avenue, from 7-9 p.m.

Fiddle player Claire Reynolds is slated to play at the Warren County Democratic headquarters in downtown Washington, 115 E. Washington Avenue, from 7-9 p.m. Reynolds' varied music includes "a bit of this, a bit of that," but all good fun.

One of the newest venue for First Fridays is Washington BQQ, 9 Broad Street. Diners will be entertained by folk singer Josh English from 7-9 p.m. at a terrific eatery where huge portions and big sandwiches are the norm.

Meanwhile, Sussex County singer-songwriter Frank Porcelli is scheduled to play at Scotty's Stadium Club on Belvidere Avenue, 7-9 p.m. And at the Washington Theatre, movie-goers will hear live music as they enter the theatre from 6:15-7:45 p.m.

In addition, the Pottery Zone features Ladies Night Out on First Fridays. Reservations for Ladies Night Out should be made directly with Pottery Zone, 908-835-8003.

Washington Kid Care and Learning Center, on E. Washington Avenue, offers childcare services and special entertainment for the kids. The childcare service allows parents to conveniently drop off their children for a nominal fee and have a couple of hours to enjoy dinner, light fare and/or dessert, and listen to music. Reservations for children are required in advance. Call 689-1777 in advance for further details on this service.
